The enemy bait will lure certian enemies to it, such as Octorocks. Basically, it simply confines those enemies attracted to it to an area surrounding the bait.

If you find yourself in this situation, however unlikely, the only option left would be to leave the labyrinth and buy a key.

The usual way to kill a darknut is to be patient and hit them from the side. Other ways to make it easier is to place a bomb and hope the blast hits them from behind, or get lucky and find a magical clock to freeze them in place.

Rocks (the falling boulders on the top rows of the Overworld) can not be destroyed and are impervious to everything but a magical clock, which will freeze them.

If you get sucked into a Like Like rapidly slash with your sword. If you can kill the Like Like before it lets go, you will still have your magic shield.

Wait a few seconds and you will regain use of your sword.

There are two ways to get your sword back. The first and easier is to touch a Blue Bubble. The second is to go to a fairy fountain. Both Red and Blue Bubbles are found in the underworld of the second quest.

Dark rooms can be lit by using Blue or Red Candles or by a magic wand equipped with the magic book.

The majority of shutter doors can be opened by defeating all the enemies in the room or by pushing a certian block after all the enemies have been defeated. There are some, however, that cannot be opened.

Invisible doors are found in the second quest and look like a regular wall. If you walk towards where the door would be and keep walking for a few moments, you will go through the invisible door.
